Founder’s Letter

Welcome to the new Glossi Mag!

Glossi Mag was founded alongside Matte PR in 2016 as a creative outlet for our team to share what inspires us. We featured people, places and cities that make us tick, sharing what we’re about with our clients and friends.

Today, these stories continue to be a window into where the people behind Matte PR, and our close community, draw inspiration. When we approached the redesign of Matte PR and Glossi Mag’s digital spaces, we wanted to create complementary websites that together make a set. They represent the cosmic duality that is everything in our universe.

The *new and improved* Glossi Mag will continue to bring the outward energy we’re known for, featuring content that matters to the Matte PR team. We’re also featuring an exciting roster of writers including Isabel Slone, Patricia Karounos, Rachel Romu and more. Past contributors like Cody Rooney and Diego Williams are returning too. 

When I sat down to think about what the new Glossi Mag would look like, engaging journalists to write about Canadian brands + creatives was part of this vision. For the month of November, our theme is The Next Generation. We meet Canadian fashion designer Olivia Reubens, TIFF Rising Star Thomas Antony Olajide and Cameron James and Dave Brown, the footwear designers behind Unknown Articles —  a Matte PR client.
